e-District Projects:

Introduction:

e-District Projects is a part of State Mission Mode Project (SMMP) under NeGP.The Project aims to apply Information Technology and Government processes reengineering on high volume Government services to improve them and electronically deliver them through the internet at home/Browsing Centers/Common Service Centers(CSCs).As per the G.O.(Ms) No.22,IT(e-Gov.II) Department, dated 06.01.2012 Government has decided to roll out the e-district projects.Also it was instructed to form District e-Governance Society in each District.
The Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency (TNeGA) took an initiative and adopted the implementation of e-District project throughout the state. In continuation of the same, the implementation of e-Governance activities in Madurai district has been initiated by the formation of District e-Governance Society(DeGS) on 30-12-2012. The District Collector, Madurai as Chairman of the District e-Governance Society, functions with other District level officials as the executive members.

UMANG

Unified Mobile Application for New Age Governance(UMANG ) provides a single platform to access pan India e-Gov services ranging from Central to Local Government bodies and other citizen centric services.
Tamil Nadu eDistrict services are now available on UMANG. The Services available are Income Certificate, Nativity Certificate, Community Certificate. Visit the given url https://web.umang.gov.in/web/#/ to download the app and same url can be used in desktop to use the services.

e-Sevai Open Portal

Citizen can use open portal website www.tnesevai.tn.gov.in/citizen to apply 20 Revenue Services.
